Bedrooms
The accommodation comprises 5 double bedrooms; 3 x doubles and 2 x doubles/twins (as required). There are 5 bathrooms; 4 ensuites, plus a large family bathroom.
Each bedroom has a CD / radio sound system.
The bedrooms are decorated in calming, neutral tones to the highest standard and comfort throughout. All have plenty of storage space with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The bed linen is 100% Egyptian cotton with goose down pillows and duvets.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms are all decorated with marble surfaces and natural stone tiles. There are 3 stand alone power showers and 3 large bathtubs. Some of the bathrooms have integrated sound systems which are controlled from the adjacent bedrooms. Each guest is provided with a fluffy bath sheet and hand towel.
Drawing Room
The Drawing Room has an open log fire, seating for ten, Sky television and a DVD player, and is a very comfortable place in which to relax at the end of the day.
Kitchen
The large kitchen at the front of the house is decorated in a traditional shaker style with granite work surfaces. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large American style fridge / freezer, dishwasher, range cooker (gas), microwave, CD / radio system and plenty of storage for the pots and pans and kitchen accessories.
There is a kitchen table in the sunny bay window which easily seats 10 people.
Dining Room
The dining room will seat 10+, and has an open log fire which provides an atmospheric ambiance for traditional dining.
Catering
Catering at St Cuthberts is entirely flexible. The house can either be taken on a self-catered, partly catered or fully catered basis.
Self-catering
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with place settings, cutlery and crockery for 10 people.
Partly catered
Homemaid, run by Fiona Burn, provides delicious seasonal cooking using local produce, with or without service. Guests can either pre-arrange for Fiona to come to the house to provide full three course meals or else she will drop off prepared food that just needs to be heated and served. Guests interested in using Fiona should contact her on 01289 388 223 to discuss menus and arrangements. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment, and payment must be settled directly with Fiona
Fully catered
Should guests require the services of a full time cook, we can recommend a local agency.
Children’s facilities
A travel cot and high chair are available for use.
